The mudrat!

The MUDRAT is a 1948 Military Power wagon that has a 440 cubic inch big block Chrysler engine. This mildly wild machine was built by the Vanderbos brothers from Wentzville. MO.
Steve and Terry raced in the Mud curcuit from 1978-1986. After several breakages, they decided to retire the MUDRAT, and it sat in a field for 8 long years!

I, Jeff McNeal, purchased the MUDRAT in 1994. Since that time, the entire truck has been completely re-built. Special thanks and much gratitude to the following men: Paul Harvey, Jeremy Harvey, Don Ohmes, Dylan Ohmes, Jeff Cox, J.B. Ueltzen, Bob (Super-master craftman) Smith, and Chris (U-bolt) Schone. They are who have made the MUDRAT what it is today.
Special thanks also to Child's Tire, Pro-formance Graphics, and Precision engines.

This rear engine machine is a very popular Mud racing truck and becoming a more inviting Show truck in Central and Eastern MO.
We are currently equipped with a complete interior roll cage, a 5 point drivers safety harness, transmission harness, driveshaft harnesses and engine cover. We strongly urge SAFETY at our events.

Most accidents happen because of carelessness, or showing off. At a show in 1998 I flipped the MUDRAT due to 'showing off', and as a result, cost me quite a bit of money for body work, new paint, and, of course, my pride. I learned a lesson though. That lesson was that the 800+ horse powered MUDRAT is ot to be taken lightly!
